Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 15 September 2026. Published by Zeiya Limited ("Zeiya", "we", "us") for the Ongea
mobile application (Android package com.ongea.live) and the ongea.online web properties.
This page is a permanent, publicly available statement of our standards against child sexual abuse
and exploitation (CSAE) and is not editable through any in-app or admin content system.
1. Zero-tolerance policy
Ongea has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation, and any use of the platform to endanger, groom, solicit, or sexualize a minor. This applies to every surface of the app, including profiles, chat messages, voice/video calls, the DoomScroll short-video feed, and any media uploaded to the platform.
2. Who may use Ongea
Ongea is restricted to users aged 18 and over. Date of birth is collected at account creation. Accounts found to belong to a minor, or created to target, contact, or exploit a minor, are removed on discovery.
3. Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Ongea and will result in content removal, account termination, and reporting to the relevant authorities:
- Uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM in any form
- Sexualizing, grooming, or soliciting a minor, or claiming to be a minor for sexual purposes
- Using the app's chat, calls, or video feed to make sexual content involving a minor, or to direct another user toward such content off-platform
- Attempting to misrepresent age to bypass the 18+ requirement
4. How we prevent and detect abuse
Ongea combines identity checks with in-app reporting tools:
- Host identity verification (KYC) — accounts applying to become a Host submit a government-issued identity document for review before being approved.
- In-app reporting — every user and Host profile can be reported directly from the app (Profile → Report), with a reason selected from a moderation-defined list. Reports are logged and queued for our Trust & Safety review.
- Blocking — any user can block another account at any time, immediately cutting off chat, calls, and profile visibility between the two accounts.
- Human review — reported accounts and content are reviewed by our team, who can remove content, suspend, or permanently ban the account.
5. How to report a concern
If you encounter suspected CSAM or child exploitation on Ongea:
- In the app — open the offending profile, chat, or video and select Report.
- By email — write to nyongea0@gmail.com with as much detail as you can safely provide (account name/ID, screenshots, date/time). Do not forward or re-share the material itself.
Reports are acknowledged and triaged by our designated point of contact, who is available to discuss Ongea's CSAM prevention practices and compliance with regulators, law enforcement, and platform partners on request.
6. Reporting to authorities
Where content or conduct on Ongea meets the legal threshold for child sexual abuse material or exploitation, we remove it, preserve evidence where legally required, and report it to the appropriate national and international authorities — including Kenya's National Police Service / Directorate of Criminal Investigations, and international bodies such as INTERPOL and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as applicable to the case and jurisdiction involved. We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement investigating child safety offenses.
7. Related policies
This page sits alongside our other published policies: see the Terms of Use (acceptable-use and eligibility rules) and the Privacy Policy (data handling, including how reports and KYC documents are processed).
